It’s not all dribble, good soccer players use their head - Bolaji (1986)
World Cup Prep - Spain vs. Poland
It’s like it was yesterday that Sepp Blatter said how good it was going to Africa to try to give a little back of what Africa has shared with the world over the years. All 32 countries are on the ground in South Africa and we’re just a few days to kick off. It’s excitement galore!
However, what’s with all the injuries! With just a week to game time, Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba gets his elbow fractured by a Japanese player in the last friendly game. Rio Ferdinand picks up an injury at practice and opinion’s that puts paid to England’s campaign. What a shame.
The games go on anyhow.
And we’re moving forward with the evaluation of refs’ calls at the games. Participants are encouraged to have fun watching the matches and should you spot what strikes you as an outrageous call, submit with the form below. Replace information in the populated fields.
Happy Quadrennial Month of Soccer Euphoria!
Thank you for playing!

Perennial underperformer, Spain, played their last warm-up match against Poland in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. 6-0 polishing.
One element of the game that is worth noting in Spain’s performance as shown in this brief video clip is that Spain will be bringing an expertise at beating offside traps. They did this for three of their goals. The second part of the clip shows attentive, unselfish play - my type of performance; simply brilliant. You may right-click on the video to play full screen.
The best of luck to all participants!
